The Calm Birth Method
2 Pregant Women in Calm Birth Class, Meditating

Certified Calm Birth teachers - nurses, midwives, doulas, and childbirth educators - teach the Calm Birth method in hospitals and various other locations. (See the Regional Teachers list.) There are various kinds of introductory courses, from one three hour session to a weekly course of up to six weeks.

Clam Birth Classes for Pregnant Women

Calm Birth teacher trainings are offered 4 or 5 times a year, on both the east and west coasts. Though most of those who register for a teacher training are established childbirth professionals, we welcome pregnant women who want to learn the method in depth and who wish to use their birth experience as a basis of teaching the method to other women. And we welcome those who simply want to learn the method in depth in order to practice it and teach.
